This fabulous excursion starts in the historic center of Arequipa at 6:00 a.m. and then we pass through downtown hotels.
The first stop is for breakfast in the village of Chiguata, a place where the landscape and the Inca terraces make the visit an unforgettable experience.
Then we will ascend to the viewpoint of the Pichu Pichu volcano, at 4,300 meters above sea level. From this point we will have another perspective of the Misti volcano and the city of Arequipa. Here we will be able to see an extraordinary fauna (vicuñas, llamas, alpacas and guanacos) and flora (yaretales, queñuales).
The next stop is the Salinas salt flat and water mirrors. Depending on the season, we will be able to observe flamingos and optical illusions caused by the water mirrors of this natural place.
The tour continues to the thermal baths of Lojen in Moquegua and the mini volcano of Uyuni.
On our return we have lunch in the traditional village of Chiguata (2:00 p.m. approx.) arriving to the city around 5:00 p.m. approx.
We will be able to appreciate the water mirrors between the months of January to March since it is the rainy season in the region. From April to December you visit the salt extraction areas; in both seasons you can take all the photos that our imagination can allow us.
During the trip we make several stops to observe a diversity of fauna such as the colorful flamingos and parihuanas. Depending on the season we can also observe the vicuñas and alpacas, the main camelids that inhabit the area.
A charge will be added for pick up from hotels: Colca Lodge, Aranwa Pueblito Encantado, El Refigio and Casitas del Colca.
