Day 1
Quistococha Zoo
09:30 hrs. pick up from your hotel to start the visit to the Quistococha Zoo Tourist Complex, located at Km. 6 of the Iquitos – Nauta highway.
Beautiful place where you can enjoy a charming natural landscape. Meet and observe the different animals representative of our Amazonian fauna. Indicated time to enjoy and bathe in Tunchi white sand beach, observe and photograph its natural lagoon with its incomparable Amazonian horizon.
In this place you can visit the following places:
Tour the Botanical Garden. This forest nursery houses multiple ornamental, timber and fruit species, in addition to the medicinal plants offered by the site.
Visit the Quistococha Zoo. Here live about 150 wild animals, in preserved areas and good extension, in addition to the 70 rescued Amazonian species.
Swim and rest at Tunchi Beach. This sector of artificial white sand is ideal for sunbathing and swimming surrounded by the best tourist landscapes of Iquitos. It is also possible to take a boat ride.
Take a tour of the fish hatchery. Here it is possible to meet the second largest freshwater fish of all the rivers in the world: the Paiche fish.
Rent a canoe. From the dock, you can paddle to the other side of the lake and enjoy the scenery that makes up the varied wildlife of the area.
Visit the museum. This site houses an important collection of taxidermy of the Amazonian fauna. It is possible to find several species of stuffed animals such as fish, reptiles, big cats, birds and rodents. There are also fetuses of animals that today are studied for their uniqueness and eccentricity at the biological level.

What you need to know

- Children from 5 years old pay regular rate.
- Minimum reservation until 1 day before the tour.
- Bring hiking shoes, seasonal clothing, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat or cap, personal documents, extra money for purchases during the tour.
- Rates valid for regular dates, does not apply for holidays or high season, 25% will be added to the regular price.
- Prices apply for nationals and foreigners.
- The passenger must wait in the lobby from the indicated time, the tolerance is 5 minutes, after that time the transport will continue its itinerary. If the passenger is not ready, he/she must reach by his/her own means the mobility at the next point, whether it is a hotel or the first tourist attraction to be visited.
- Cancellations and rescheduling can only be made up to 48 hours in advance.
