Highlights

Itinerary

1
Day 1

Nauta and Botanical Walk

You will be picked up from your hotel or from the airport to start the transfer to Iquitos – Nauta in a Sprinter trip of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Arriving in Nauta we will transfer by river boat to our camp.

Upon arrival, lunch will be provided (included) and then we will rest for a few minutes, After the break we will be ready for the first excursion

We will start the botanical walk, enter the jungle and meet different plants with their healing value (used by local residents and shamans), the excursion is experiential, the difficulty is easy.

We will return to the camp to prepare for dinner (included),

After dinner our Guide will be ready waiting for you to tell stories of the jungle, do not miss this opportunity to know a little more about the legends in the Amazon.

Then we will spend the night in the camps.

Day 2

Jungle Adventure + Artisan Fishing

Very early before breakfast we will take the boat to go to the river and be able to contemplate the sunrise from the river, and then begin to enjoy the song of the birds in their natural habitat.

Then we will return to the camp to have our breakfast (included).

After breakfast we will have the possibility of doing artisanal fishing, and the possibility of catching the famous “Piranha” fish feared by the inhabitants of the Amazon.

Then we will visit the community “Las Palmas” (Crafts), after the visit we will go to the camp.

We will proceed to have our lunch (included), after the break we go to Nauta Caño, this time we will enter the boat for wildlife watching, here we can see several species of animals where they can take excellent photos.

Upon returning to the camp we will be able to observe the well-known “Cayman or Lagarto”.

Arriving at the camp we will have our dinner (included) and then proceed to spend the night.

Day 3

Gray and Pink Dolphins + "Infiernillo"

We will start the day with a rich breakfast (included) and then go sailing the Marañón River in search of gray and pink dolphins, once located we will have the possibility to swim with them (it is not mandatory to do so if you do not wish).

We go to the camp for our lunch (included), then we will rest for a few minutes.

After the break, we will visit a basin called Yanayaquillo, we will go in search of primates and mammals in their natural habitat, the photos that you can acquire here are spectacular!

We will return to the camp for our dinner (included) and overnight.

Day 4

Hike and Manufacture of Hunting Tools

We start the day with a good breakfast (included) and then learn to design our own hunting weapons of the ancestors of the “Kukama Kukamiria” community, we will learn from a small demonstration of survival in the jungle, this activity is not to be missed!

After the activity we will have our lunch (included), we will rest for a few minutes.

After the break we will go to a small tributary of Nauta Caño to go in search of Reptiles and River Otters, a species in danger of extinction.

We will return to the camp to have our dinner (included).

For adventure lovers, we will go on a night walk to see animals and insects, it is not mandatory.

We will spend the night in the camp.

Day 5

Hike to the Las Palmas Community Reserve

After having our breakfast (included), we will go to a trail made by the residents of the Native community “Las Palmas”, a trail that is cared for by the same residents of said community, possibility of meeting emblematic birds of the Amazon and other species.

We will go to the community where we will have our lunch at the home of the family designated by them (lunch included).

After resting for a few minutes we will return to Nauta-Iquitos.
