Itinerary

1
Day 1

Visit the Native community

You will be picked up from the Hotel or Airport to transfer you to the city of Nauta.

Then we go in our rustic boat with a Peque Peque motor to the native community called “Arequipa” in the basin of the river “Yanayacu”, on the way you can have the opportunity to observe gray and pink dolphins in their natural habitat.

We will have our lunch on board (included).

We will rest and then go on a night walk in search of insects, amphibians, reptiles and other animals.

We will have our dinner (included) and then spend the night.

Day 2

Route to Yarina Cocha

Very early we start the navigation towards the “Yarina Cocha” Lagoon, in the boat we will have our breakfast (included).

On this tour, most of the day is spent on the boat due to the remoteness of our wonderful destination, on the way you will be able to observe beautiful landscapes where you can relax and take photos.

We will have our lunch and dinner on the boat (included).

Upon arrival we will undertake a search for mammals and primates in their natural habitat and then spend the night in our camp.

Day 3

Visit to the Wetlands

After our breakfast (included), we will go to “Tambo Germa” in which we will have the opportunity to get to know the Amazonian wetlands. We will visit the renacales, possible sighting of reptiles, we will learn to build our own fishing and domestic hunting tools with the inhabitants of the area, after the activities we will enjoy our lunch (included).

You can spend time in the area enjoying the scenery to take photos and relax.

In this beautiful place we will spend the night in our camp and we will have our dinner (included).

Day 4

Route to Achon and search for river wolves

After our delicious breakfast (included), we will go to the “Achón” dry dock, which will be our next place to spend the night, here we will have lunch (included).

In the afternoon and after rest, we will go in search of river wolves “Otters” possibility of walking.

We will return to the camp for our dinner (included) and overnight.

Day 5

Experiential Tourism and Fauna Observation

We will head towards the “COCHA EL DORADO”, this area is still virgin of human presence in such a way that the animals can be observed without fear. We will cross the Yanayacu River (Black Waters in Quechua) taking advantage of the spectacle of animals such as the Taricaya turtle, alligators, dolphins, various species of monkeys and the incessant dance of the birds that participate, that is why the The Reserve’s reputation as a must see for bird watching.

When we arrive at La Cocha we will install the camp in a suitable place for a better experience in the national reserve.

In the afternoon we will start with the artisanal fishing of Piranhas, Tucunare, etc. Very experiential experience.

After dinner (included) we will start the night with the search for “Caimans”, possibility of a walk in the primary jungle and spend the night in the camp.

Day 6

Walk through the Reserve and Bird Watching

We will start the day with a rich breakfast (included) and then start the walk in the primary jungle in search of emblematic birds of the national reserve.

After a walk through the reserve, we will proceed to have lunch at the camp (included) and rest for a few minutes.

In the afternoon we will go in search of the largest rodents in the world, the famous “Ronsoco”, they are species that are not seen very often but with stealth and with our good guide we will be able to capture some.

We will return to the camp for our dinner (included) and overnight.

Day 7

Observation of Primates and visit to the Communal Farm

After our breakfast (included) we will go in search of the largest primates in the area known as “Monkey Spider” and “Mono Coto”, this experience is highly admired by many of our travelers and photographers since their habitat and species are simply beautiful.

We will return to our camp to proceed to lunch (included) and then rest for a few minutes.

After the afternoon break, we will visit a communal farm where we will interact with the community members and learn about their culture and lifestyle.

Then we will return to the camp to have dinner (included) and spend the night.

Day 8

Return trip to Nauta

We start the day having our breakfast to start the navigation towards the “Cocha de Yarina”, where we will return to Nauta.

We will have our lunch on the boat (included), we will have the day to enjoy and relax with the imposing landscape of the jungle, you can take advantage of taking photos and making spectacular videos!

We will arrive almost at dusk to Nauta where we will have our dinner (included).

Day 9

Visit to the Las Palmas Community

After our breakfast (included) we will go to the native community “Las Palmas” where we will learn about their culture and we will be able to shop for handicrafts, this community is very friendly and is known for the stories they have for travelers.

We will have a delicious lunch (included) at the home of our local guide “Don Julio” who is well known in the area and for his exquisite dishes.

On this occasion we will spend the night in the community, you will be able to appreciate the incredible dusk and relax with the tranquility of the nocturnal jungle, we will have our dinner (included).

Day 10

Visit and swim with dolphins

After breakfast (included), we will go to the “Cocha Shiriyacu”, possibility of swimming with gray and pink dolphins, a unique experience for many travelers, this activity is not mandatory.

After this magnificent activity we will proceed to have our lunch (included) and we will rest for a few minutes.

After the break we will go to the city of Nauta-Iquitos where you will be directed, prior coordination, to your hotel or airport.
