Day 1
Lima City Tour + Market and Cooking Class
The experience can begin between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. and lasts 6 hours.
We’ll start our tour with a pickup at your hotel in Miraflores, Barranco, or San Isidro, and head to the Surquillo Market, where we’ll learn about Peruvian fruits and sample some of them.
We’ll then move on to a cooking class, where we’ll learn to prepare the famous “Pisco Sour” and our delicious ceviche; after the class, we’ll taste what we’ve made.
Next, we’ll head out on a city tour of colonial Lima, where we’ll visit “Plaza San Martín” and learn about its history, as well as the “Church of San Francisco” and its catacombs.
After the convent, we’ll go to try the famous Lima-style churros. We’ll also visit “La Casa de la Literatura,” the “Palacio de Gobierno,” the “Lima Cathedral,” the “Plaza de Armas,” and the “Convent of Santo Domingo.”
After our visits in downtown Lima, we’ll head to “Huaca Pucllana” in the Miraflores district for a panoramic view, and our final stops will be the “Malecón” and “Parque del Amor.”
We’ll then return to your hotel.
