We will pick you up at around 08:30 a.m., during this trip we will be able to observe beautiful landscapes of the Andes Mountains. The first stop will be the archaeological center of Tipón, an Inka ceremonial center, where the water flow from the high peaks of the Pachatusan hill to the lowlands of the valley was controlled through a stone channel.
Later we will visit the Archaeological Complex of Pikillaqta, which literally means “city of fleas”. It is an old walled citadel of the Wari Empire, which was one of the most important regional centers of the Wari Culture in its expansion to the city of Cusco.
Finally, we will conclude the trip visiting the beautiful Church of Andahuaylillas, The construction of the current temple started in 1570 with the creation of a small chapel corresponding to the existing apse and sanctuary; the nave and façade were completed in 1606. Much of the interior was decorated by Luis de Riaño, a student of Angelino Medoro, in the 1620s. It is often called the “Sistine Chapel of the Andes” because of the beauty of its mural painting.
We will return to Cusco at approximately 03:00 p.m.
