Today we will pick you up from your hotel after breakfast , and take you to a local market where we will learn about the great diversity of products of Peru, all this coming from the coast, andes and the amazon of this beautiful country.
Then head to the chef’s house where we will prepare iconic peruvian dishes like an appetizer called causa rellena, a main course called lomo saltado.
A typical peruvian dessert will be served as well.
All the food will be served with drinks like a pisco sour or a glass of wine , or if you prefer, non-alcoholic beverages like Inka Kola or chicha morada (purple corn juice).
Please find below the explanation from the dishes :
Causa (Starter): Delicately prepared layers of mashed potatoes, seasoned with lemon, yellow chili, salt and oil. And accompanied with chicken or tuna. Its colorful presentation and combination of flavors make it a popular starter in Peruvian cuisine.
Lomo Saltado (Main dish): An emblematic dish that fuses Chinese and Peruvian influences. It consists of pieces of beef sautéed over high heat with onion, tomato, yellow chili pepper, soy sauce and vinegar, achieving a juicy and intense flavor. It is served with French fries and white rice, combining textures and flavors in a perfect balance.
The activity has a total duration of approximately 4 hours.
