1
Day 1
Yanachaga Chemillén
Tour start time: 8:00 a.m.
The tour begins with a 20-minute transfer by vehicle, followed by a walk through part of the beautiful YANACHAGA CHEMILLEN NATIONAL PARK. The first stop is at the EL CEDRO REFUGE to register and obtain more technical information about the route. Entrance ticket: S/ 15.00
Then we embark on a nature walk along a beautiful trail, observing the diversity of wild flora typical of the high jungle ecosystem (primary and cloud forest). We will be able to observe various species of mosses, ferns, orchids, bromeliads, shrubs, and trees such as the ulcumano, the diablo fuerte, the walnut tree, and the cedar, among others.
We will also be able to observe some notable birds, including the cock-of-the-rock or tunki, harpy eagle, clockbird, tanagers, quetzal, shansho, pucacunga, and paujil. Fifty-nine species of mammals have been recorded in this area, including the river wolf or otter, the largest otter in the world, the jaguar or otorongo, and the spectacled or Andean bear.
We will return to the city, ending the tour at approximately 2:00 p.m.

What you need to know

- Children aged 0 to 3 travel free (but are not entitled to meals and must sit on their parents’ laps during tours).
- Fares are exempt from tax under the Amazon Law.
