Day 1: At 09:30 AM, we will leave towards the south of Huaraz to enter the Huascarán National Park through the Pachacoto detour, located approximately 1 hour from Huaraz.
First Stop: Gasified waters of Pumapampa, waters naturally aerated by the action of minerals within the Huascarán National Park. These spring waters emanate from the depths, their main attraction being a mouth of regular size which releases a lot of carbonated water, at a height of approximately one meter, this height is in accordance with the phases of the moon. In Cátac there are underground water leaks where the concentration of chemical elements makes their consumption impossible; but the existence of wetlands and their components treat the liquid through bioremediation, making it suitable for consumption and even meters below they are a point of capture of water to later make it drinkable.
Second stop: We will visit the Puya Raimondi, considered one of the most beautiful examples of the high Andean flora, with a life span ranging from 04 to 100 years and can reach a height of 06 to 15 meters. It has an upright stem up to 6 meters high, a diameter of 06 meters with its spiny leaves arranged in a rosette around the stem, and a floral axis whose growth is between 4 to 8 meters.
Third Stop: Laguna Pumashimi, a small lagoon with several colors inside due to the rocks and the movement of the sun. It’s an ideal place for some wonderful photos.
Fourth Stop: Cave paintings, paintings found on rocks on the way to Pastoruri, probably made in the archaic period.
Fifth Stop: Arrival at Pastoruri, to get to the glacier you walk about 40 minutes or you can use the horses that the residents who rent halfway through, you can touch the snow and see the frozen lagoon that was formed by the deglaciation from the snow.
