Itinerary
1
Day 1
Arequipa - Cabanaconde – Sangalle
From 03:00 to 03:30 a.m we will pick you up and transfer to the Colca Canyon. After approximately four hours of driving we will arrive at the main town of the Valley, Chivay, where we will have breakfast and then continue our journey until we reach the town of Cabanaconde from where we will begin the descent at the base of the Colca Canyon.
During the tour we will have different spectacular views, once at the bottom of the Canyon, we will cross the bridge arriving at the town of San Juan de Chuccho, where we can take a break and have lunch, enjoying the beauty of the mountains, we will continue our journey along a slope path of approximately 1 hour towards the town of Cosnihua and then on a flatter path towards the town of Malata, finished after 6 to 7 hours of walking in Sangalle (Oasis), a beautiful place located between the canyon mountains, where you can also enjoy a refreshing swim in the pools of the place.
We will have dinner and spend the night in cabins (basic.)

Day 2
Sangalle – Cabanaconde – Chivay – Arequipa
At 04:30 a.m. we will start the ascent, it is a zigzagging path and quite steep, but after approximately 3 hours we will have the satisfaction of finishing this beautiful route.
We will have our breakfast in a local restaurant and then go to the viewpoint of the Cruz del Cóndor, from this famous viewpoint you have one of the most impressive views of the Colca canyon and from where you can usually see the impressive flight of the Condors.
The Andean condor is the largest flying bird in the world by combined measurement of weight and wingspan. Hope you are lucky to see them and take some good pictures.
Return to Chivay, where you will have the chance to visit and relax at the Hot Springs, called La Calera. After lunch we’ll return to Arequipa, arriving between 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. where you will be drop off at your hotel.
Day 1
