Day 1
Biking in Arequipa
The guided bicycle trip lasts 5 hours around 3 volcanoes near Arequipa, known as the Campiña de Arequipa.
We begin this day picking you up at your hotel. You can choose between 2 schedules : 8:00 a.m. or at 01:00 p.m. –
Firstly, you will be traveling for approximately 1 1/2 Hrs to the outskirts – This is a short trip on the way to the district of Pocsi, where is the highest point of this trip known as Mirador From The Volcanoes at 3,050 meters above the sea.
We will have a bike briefing before we start. The first section of this bike trip includes downhill on the zigzagging route with minimal presence of traffic and seeing the agricultural town in Mollebaya and Characato: the distance by will be about 30 km. and it takes no more than 3 hours by bike (varies according to the level and physical condition of each participant): this bike trip includes many agricultural areas that are recognized as “La Campiña Arequipeña”, including many colonial churches and houses in Mollebaya and Characato.
The bike ride ends at our cycling base located within the completely pre-Inca terraces and then we will take you back to your hotel.
